Robinson took about a week to sign my card in black ink - in the 'here and now,' I couldn't imagine actually writing an autograph request to someone born in 1920, but did some digging around to find a 1952 Topps reprint card to send off with the $10 Robinson usually requires.
Another collector posting on a forum I belong to worried about his request being MIA, but that wasn't the case for me and I'm glad my card was actually signed - for better or for worse, I didn't get any extra messages or notes added like I've seen with other posted returns.
