2014 Bowman blaster recap #1

I picked up a couple of blasters so I could see what 2014 Bowman looks like - I'm kind of conflicted because for the $40 and tax I spent at a Target, I could have gotten a complete set [even though they aren't worth much, cards Kris Bryant, Jose Abreu and Masahiro Tanaka are in the base sets].

I don't want to miss out on first-year type guys who maybe appearing on their first Bowman card even though I don't tend to focus on grabbing players' cards - especially if the players' cards are there to fill out a checklist and if I'm not going to see the players immediately to get any random cards inked up in-person.

On the other hand, strictly picking up a hand collated set seems so boring at times - I'd still have to sort them out all the base cards, but the lure of pulling assorted inserts / parallels that may turn out to be decent hits are taken out of the equation.
